ZOLTAN "ZOLI" RUBIN

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 am MONDAY 12/6/2021 at HEBREW MEMORIAL CHAPEL A LIVE ZOOM OF THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TOMORROW MORNING APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE SERVICE BEGINS. AT THAT TIME, PLEASE GO TO THE TRIBUTE WALL AND CLICK ON THE PICTURE OF A MENORAH. Age 103.5, of Farmington Hills, died December 4, 2021. A Holocaust Survivor, Zoli was a Czech Partisan fighter and was then captured and sent to work camps. A founding member with his wife of the American Israeli Cancer Association, he was also important during 1973 with meetings about financing during the Yom Kippur War. In 1968, he ran a successful business downtown Detroit and became beloved by his customers and suppliers where he was known for his reputation of honesty and integrity. With his wife for 62 years, Agi, he traveled many parts of the world and was also known for his devotion and caring for his wife and family. Beloved husband for 62 years to the late Agi Rubin Devoted father of Vicki (Ben) Waxenberg, Amy Weber, and the late Randy Rubin. Loving grandfather of Rivky (Boruch) Rothenberg, Shmuel Waxenberg, Jacob Moshe Waxenberg, Devora (Raphael) Krupnik, Miriam (Bian) Singer, Justin Weber, and Jeremy Weber. Proud great-grandfather of Avigdor, Yehudah-Simcha, Ezra, Basya-Chana Rothenberg, Aryeh Zev Krupnik, and Ahuva Raizel Krupnik. Zoli was the youngest of 11 children and only 2 of his brothers and he survived the Holocaust.
