DANIEL HOFFER
December 13, 1925 - March 31, 2022
GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 AM SUNDAY 4/03/2022 at HEBREW MEMORIAL PARK Age 96, of West Bloomfield, died March 31, 2022. Dan grew up in Detroit and graduated from Central High School. He was known for his kind heart and making people smile. His appreciation for life was contagious. He was a WWII Veteran and active in the Pinsker Progressive Aid Society. He enjoyed softball, ping pong, skiing, tennis, golf, swimming, amateur radio, and playing the harmonica (from age 10 to 96). His greatest joy was his wife, raising his daughters, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his cherished wife of 54 years, Laura Hoffer; daughter, Stacey Hoffer, daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Gary Hollander; grandchildren, Matthew, Darren, and Kadie Hollander; Benji and Jonah Weckstein, late parents, Ben and Sadie Hoffer, late brothers and sisters-in-law, Julius and Sylvia Hoffer, Martin and Frances Hoffer, and beloved nieces. OFFICIATING: Rabbi J. Lader INTERMENT: Hebrew Memorial Park Cemetery SHIVA: The family will observe Shiva through Tuesday evening at the residence of daughter and son-in-law: Bonnie & Gary Hollander 34663 Old Timber Rd Farmington Hills, MI 48331 NOTE: FAMILY REQUESTS MASKS BE WORN TO THE SHIVA HOUSE AND NO FOOD BE BROUGHT TO THE HOME.
