Hebrew Memorial Chapel

A History Of Serving Metro Detroit

Hebrew Memorial Chapel began in 1916 as the Detroit Jewish Free Burial Association. At the time, the goal of the association was to assist those individuals who either did not have the financial means to secure a proper burial service or those that did not have a family to take care of their burial needs. With time, we have become a full-service funeral home; however, we are more than that.

Hebrew Memorial's status as a non-profit organization makes us unique in this profession. We are driven by our constant commitment to the entire Jewish community of Metro Detroit.

For almost one hundred years, the support and commitment we have received from the Detroit community has been overwhelming.

This has enabled us to continue providing support to the underprivileged, while maintaining the highest standard of service as a funeral home for all families.
